Coalition Forces and Poetic Alliances: Discourses, Identities, Realities

Vangelis Intzidis.

This paper presents a corpus of texts concerning the recent events of the Iraq crisis. The corpus encompasses a wide range of genres - poems, reports, political analyses as well as public speeches carried out by some of the protagonists of the campaign.

More specifically, the study of these texts places emphasis on:
- the constitution of the rhetoric of war, peace and democracy.
- the recognition of reality through different articulation
- the conceived and inscribed notion of time
- the construction and deconstruction of identities and practices of belonging.

Evangelos Intzidis studied Pedagogic and Linguistics and has been honored to participate as a scholar in National Endowment for the Humanities seminars in Columbia University. He is an associate in the General Secretariat for Adult Education-Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, participating in the working-team for Lifelong learning policies.
