The New Type of Human Personality Towards the Information Society

Panagiotes S. Anastasiades.

The new technologies of communications and information, create an entirely different environment, which acts as a catalyst to almost every activity of modern society. Information Society will be the next social and economic model of the post-industrial age, within which the social structure will undergo major changes. A new type of personality is emerging in the new digital society. The smooth incorporation of modern man in the new social environment will depend upon his ability to adjust himself as well as his speed in doing so, that is upon his capability to quickly and creatively incorporate the new knowledge in his professional and everyday life. But what will be the component parts that will eventually form the new social mosaic? What is going to be the prevalent pattern of mas behavior? Which will replace the basic characteristics of modern man in this post-industrial society?
